Secretary Facility Services Centre
St. Catharines Service Centre
One (1) Full-time Position

The function of this position is to perform a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties related to the day to day operations at the St. Catharines Service Centre. The successful applicant will be detail oriented and show proficiency in providing exceptional customer service. Typical duties of this position will include, but are not restricted to the following:

  • Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet applications
  • Excellent public relation skills
  • Working knowledge of the Board’s Facility Services Department policies and operations including Property Services
  • Maintain all correspondence for Maintenance Supervisors and Manager
  • Assist in daily operation and accurate record keeping
  • providing in-person and telephone reception
  • proficiency with NAV and Ebase systems
  • other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Applicants must have Grade 12 education (a minimum one-year College diploma in Office Administration is preferred), including or supplemented by courses in keyboarding (min. 60 words per minute). Applicants must have the equivalent of ten (10) working months of clerical/secretarial experience in a school or DSBN clerical setting within the past two (2) years, which demonstrates proficiency in the functions described above.
