Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing engineering team with dual mandates: 1) establishing and managing standardized components for optimal product development, and 2) ensuring the effective management and dissemination of engineering knowledge and processes within the Bombardier Engineering System (BES). The role combines technical expertise with leadership to drive efficiency, quality, and innovation within the organization.
  • Standards and Components Management
  • Oversee the development, qualification, and integration of standardized components (structural, systems, EWIS, hydraulic, etc.) into the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
  • Establish and enforces rigorous component management processes to prevent proliferation and ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Lead the team in identifying opportunities for component standardization across different aircraft programs to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of standardized components into product development cycles.
  • Bombardier Engineering System (BES) Management
  • Provide strategic leadership for the management of engineering processes, content, and knowledge within the BES.
  • Ensure the alignment of BES with Bombardier’s product development methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the engineering organization through effective utilization of the BES.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the BES.
  • PLM and ERP Integration
  • Oversee the integration of standards and component data into the PLM and ERP system.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility within the PLM and ERP environment.
  • Develop and implement processes for efficient data management and retrieval.
