Our Balfour Beatty Highways business has a terrific opportunity for a Section Engineer to join our talented Highways Team on the M1/A1(M) CSB scheme in Leeds and build something you can be proud of.
What you’ll be doing

As a Section Engineer, you will take the lead in delivering a package of works providing management of a multi-disciplinary team comprising Site Engineers, Assistant Engineers & Foremen

  • Manage performance; monitor the competency of team members and undertake training/ coaching as appropriate
  • Carry out field audits and confirm the sufficiency of control documentation
  • Guide and coach subordinates in technical requirements and techniques of setting out and is also able to undertake if required
  • Guide and coach subordinates in resolution of construction issues, drawing on experience and accepted industry best practice
  • Read and determine in formation from drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Collate and manage documentation and records into handover.
