We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Securities Finance, Business Strategist to join our Securities Finance Team within Global Markets. This role is located in New York, NY - HYBRID.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

Playing a central role in shaping the strategic narrative and execution of critical commercial initiatives for BNY Securities Finance
Identifying and evaluating organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including strategic external partnerships and business case development, alongside other line of business experts and corporate teams
Working with senior leadership to define, analyze, and articulate strategic priorities and opportunities for growth
Collaborating with Corporate and divisional teams to achieve organizational objectives and ensure alignment with Bank-wide activities
Enabling effective executive level communication of high impact or high visibility initiatives and facilitates decision making for BNY Markets executives.
Optimizing financial resource consumption, improving returns and margins

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, WE’RE SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

Working knowledge of Markets, Securities Finance and Treasury / balance sheet management functions
Strong problem solving, communication and influencing skills
Comfort with significant senior leadership exposure and ability to impact the strategic agenda
Experience in conducting primary research, competitive benchmarking, and market intelligence
Exceptional interpersonal skills and aptitude to influence a wide range of stakeholders across the organization
Ability to remain agile in a fast-paced, global environment often under tight time constraints
Ability to structure and scope complex problems
Proactive self-starter with questioning mindset

Excellent and efficient use of MS Excel and PowerPoint tools (required)
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
5-7 years total working experience preferred, minimum one year experience in financial markets’ consulting preferred
