REQUIREMENTS

• At least 3 years of experience is required in Securities Lending
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Physics, Math, Finance, etc.)
• Strong analytical abilities and high-quality awareness
• Excellence in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of VBA and Python is a plus
• Deep knowledge and understanding of the Securities Lending landscape.
• Experience in other financial Instruments: derivatives, equities, equity related securities and FX is a plus
• Ability to work under pressure and perform in many roles in an ever-changing environment
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness is essential as well as multitasking
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written in English

ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary mission of the Securities Finance Trader is to expand our securities lending and securities financing businesses.
Reporting line: Head of Brokerage
Location: Dubai, UAE
Worksite: flexible (remote/onsite)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Play a pivotal role in formulating and executing strategies to expand our securities lending and financing businesses, identifying new opportunities, and optimizing returns
• Utilize your analytical and coding skills to standardize, automate, develop and integrate processes to enhance efficiency in securities lending and financing operations
• Work with developers to build quantitative and technological solutions to analyze and improve trading performance
• Continuously monitor and manage risks associated with, but not limited to, lending and financing activities, including collateral management, market risk, settlement and counterparty risk
• Expand and strengthen your network of counterparties to build out new counterparty lending relationships
• Collaborate closely with the counterparty management team on contract terms and conditions
• Foster and maintain close working relationships with existing counterparties
• Take ownership of ad hoc projects assigned to you
• Generate regular reports for the Head of Brokerage, highlighting areas that can be proactively improved
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders to promote service quality, ensuring the timely escalation and resolution of issues and queries
• Communicate with counterparties and the IT team to resolve any discrepancies
• Work closely with internal compliance to ensure robust controls in our ever-changing market
