Description:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong knowledge of security best practices
  • Familiarity with secure coding principles and common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
  • Experience with network and infrastructure security concepts and how they relate to application security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA. If a candidate does not currently have a security certification, one must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
  • Knowledge of data encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Application Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our applications by monitoring, analyzing, and enhancing their security posture.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including application developers, IT operations, and security professionals, to identify vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and implement best practices in securing applications and systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both cybersecurity and application management, with a deep understanding of security vulnerabilities, risk assessments, and remediation strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Security Assessment & Risk Management:
  • Perform regular security assessments of internal and third-party applications to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for improving application security.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify, mitigate, and remediate security flaws and vulnerabilities.
  • Compliance & Policy Enforcement:
  • Ensure applications meet industry compliance standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
  • Work with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams to enforce security policies and controls for applications.
  • Collaboration & Support:
  • Provide security-related guidance and support to development and IT teams.
  • Assist with application security training and awareness for employees.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices.
