REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
  • OR Master’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results) or consulting experience.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years data-science experience (e.g., managing structured and unstructured data, applying statistical techniques and reporting results)
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in a vulnerability management or security data analyst role.
  • 1+ years of experience with vulnerability scanning and management solutions.
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL or Kusto.

ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a vulnerability management or security data analyst role
  • 2+ years of experience with vulnerability scanning and management solutions
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL or Kusto
    Data Science IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide actionable intelligence and analytics that will make Azure cloud products and services safer.
  • Being a thought leader in the security space to incubate, implement and refine ideas that will elevate our security posture.
  • Translate trend analysis, variance analysis, findings, and insights to stakeholders to drive actions for a variety of vulnerability management and security monitoring scenarios.
  • Communicate plans to executives and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with service owners and key stakeholders to analyze the data and develop remediation plans.
  • Drive feedback programs with customers.
