Description:

CGI is seeking a highly experienced Security Architect to lead the security efforts for multi-account AWS environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic design and implementation of security measures that protect cloud infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. As a key member of the architecture team, you will work closely with other architects, engineers, and stakeholders to embed security into every layer of the cloud environment.

Responsibilities:

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Security Design and Implementation: Lead the design and deployment of security architectures across multi-account AWS environment, ensuring all solutions are robust, scalable, and compliant.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular security assessments, identify potential vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies to protect assets.
  • Collaboration and Integration: Work closely with other architects to integrate security seamlessly into the overall cloud architecture, including network security, application security, and data protection.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all security measures comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001) and internal security policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging security threats and technologies, continuously improving security posture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in security architecture, particularly in AWS environments.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC2, and experience implementing them in cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in security tools such as IAM, VPC, Security Groups, WAF, encryption technologies, and SIEM solutions.
  • Experience working closely with compliance teams and driving security governance initiatives.

Considered strong assets:

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security Specialty.
  • Experience with automated security tools, CI/CD pipeline integration, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Expertise in securing microservices architectures, APIs, and containerized environments.
