Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our team. This is a remote role with a focus on designing and implementing cutting-edge security solutions in cloud environments, particularly with AWS.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:
- Lead the planning, implementation, and scaling of security services within our client’s AWS-based cloud infrastructure.
- Architect and implement AWS-native security solutions that meet the highest standards for data protection, compliance, and system integrity.
- Design and build hybrid data ingestion and processing frameworks that handle both real-time streaming and scheduled batch operations.
- Utilize your deep technical expertise to ensure security solutions are efficient, scalable, and align with organizational needs.
- Maintain rigorous quality standards, performing regular evaluations to ensure security solutions remain effective and compliant.
- Drive innovation by staying current with the latest in cybersecurity trends and proactively enhancing security processes and technologies.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of our security services, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Advocate for security roadmaps and designs to both technical and non-technical teams, clearly articulating the business benefits.
WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB :
- 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, including Linux system administration and software development.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Cybersecurity, particularly in architecture or design roles for significant security projects.
- Expertise in AWS security architecture and implementation, with additional knowledge of cloud security technologies in Azure or GCP being a plus.
- Strong technical depth to build and design comprehensive security solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to less technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies and DevSecOps concepts.
- Strong leadership skills with a keen understanding of business processes and priorities.
- Ability to conduct analytical research independently, applying critical thinking to emerging cybersecurity challenges.
