Job Posting: Emergency Security Dispatcher
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Wage: $22.00 to $23.98 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, planned 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and holidays)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an Emergency Security Dispatcher to join our team in a steady, established industrial setting. In this role, you’ll provide real-time support for emergency incidents, monitor security systems, and dispatch responses to ensure the site’s safety and security. This position offers hands-on experience in high-stakes security dispatching, ideal for those looking to build or enhance careers in emergency response and security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, evaluate, and respond to emergency calls, ensuring accurate documentation of all incidents and actions taken.
- Dispatch appropriate emergency services and personnel as needed, maintaining clear and professional communication.
- Monitor CCTV and access control alarms, and document incident timelines and outcomes accurately.
- Operate security alarm systems and control site access for deliveries and visitors.
- Manage routine calls and provide radio and telephone support to field personnel.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of security experience, preferably in an industrial setting, with emergency dispatch experience.
- Familiarity with radio and telephone communication systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong decision-making abilities under pressure and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Strong attendance record and reliability for rotating shift work.
- Alberta Security Officer’s License through the Alberta Solicitor General is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
