JOB DESCRIPTION

Allied Universal is looking for Professional Security Agents to join our team in Montreal. As a Security Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of customer properties and their personnel. This role involves a combination of customer service, security operations and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, the ability to manage crisis situations and a customer-centric approach.

Position type: Full Time
Salary range: $25.00 - $29.22
Shift: Monday to Friday
Schedule: 5:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Responsibilities :

• Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring that only authorized persons can enter.
• Conduct regular patrols of data center premises to identify and resolve security risks.
• Incident response : Respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
• Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports; escalate issues as necessary.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial and local security regulations.
• Team collaboration: Work closely with other safety personnel and customer staff to maintain a safe environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 6 months to 1 year proven experience as a security officer or similar environment.
• Fluency in spoken and written French.
• Computer skills required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with video surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems and alarm monitoring software.
• Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
• Must hold a valid Montreal Security Licence (BSP).
• ASP construction card required
• First aid card mandatory (CNESST).
• Must be authorized to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Customer service certificate required.
