PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To perform such duties as may be assigned by the Security Manager/Deputy Security Manager / such other person as may be designated by the Board. These duties will include:
   A. Lock Up and Opening Procedures
   B. Internal and External Patrol
   C. CCTV Room Duties
   D. Emergency Department Duties
   E. Traffic Management
   F. Managing Behaviors that Challenge
   G. First Responders for Emergencies Fire MIP etc
2. Report to the Security Manager, or in his/her absence, the Deputy Security Manager.
3. Be required to work with the staff of security contractors engaged by the Hospital.
4. Be required to become familiar with the lay-out of the Hospital and the Security Policies and Standard Operational Procedures
5. Ensure that the Hospital security policies and standard operational procedures are implemented
6. Abide by security instructions given by Security Management.
7. Investigate and report on breaches of security policies, and security incidents .
8. Promote good security practices, including Health and Safety, and Fire Prevention / Safety practices throughout the hospital campus.
9. To report to Security Team Leader on any irregularities that might adversely affect the carrying out of assigned duties.
10. Attend training courses as directed by the Security Manager.
11. To report promptly for duty and use the Hospitals Time and Attendance System
12. Carry items of Hospital security equipment in the course of your duties and ensure that such equipment is protected from damage and in good order
13. Wear the security uniform and PPE appropriate to your grade and provided to carry out your duties
14. Ensure that the instructions of the Security Manager/ Deputy Security Manager and Security Team leader are followed.
15. Report any breaches of security policies and instruction to the Security Team Leader to notify the Security Manager or in his/her absence the Deputy Security Manager
16. Carry out such administration tasks as may be required by the Security Manager, including the recording of all incidents in the incident log book , the completion of the appropiate Security, Fire and Risk Management Forms which maybe online where revelant .
17. Liaise with and give assistance to the Hospitals Fire Consultant.
18. Promote good security and safety (including fire safety) practices throughout the Hospital campus
19. Co-operate with and give assistance to the officers of any statutory body attending the Hospital campus in the course of their duties..
20. Abide by such requirements as are set down by Beaumont Hospital in regard to other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
    In the absence of the Security Manager or at their discretion these duties may be carried out under the direction of the Deputy Security Manager
