QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post Secondary diploma or above in Security Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • 3-5 experience in security roles, preferably in food manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response planning, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize CCTV systems and other monitoring tools to oversee the premises and identify any security breaches or suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections to maintain visibility and deter unauthorized access.
  • Manage and monitor trespasses within company’s designated parking lots.
  • Assess potential security risks specific to food manufacturing environments, such as contamination threats or theft.
  • Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to mitigate identified risks effectively.
  • Manage access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel enter through designated entrance.
  • Issue and revoke access credentials as per company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures tailored to food manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct drills and training sessions to ensure all employees are prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.
  • Investigate security incidents, breaches, or policy violations promptly and thoroughly.
  • Communicate and manage activities related to third party security agencies for the company.
  • Document findings, recommend corrective actions, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety and security.
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required, detailing security activities, incidents, and compliance status.
  • Educate employees on security best practices and procedures to foster a culture of security awareness.
  • Conduct training sessions on topics such as crisis management, threat recognition, and response protocols.
