QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post Secondary diploma or above in Security Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 experience in security roles, preferably in food manufacturing or a related industry.
- Knowledge of security protocols, emergency response planning, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize CCTV systems and other monitoring tools to oversee the premises and identify any security breaches or suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to maintain visibility and deter unauthorized access.
- Manage and monitor trespasses within company’s designated parking lots.
- Assess potential security risks specific to food manufacturing environments, such as contamination threats or theft.
- Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to mitigate identified risks effectively.
- Manage access control systems to ensure only authorized personnel enter through designated entrance.
- Issue and revoke access credentials as per company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures tailored to food manufacturing operations.
- Conduct drills and training sessions to ensure all employees are prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.
- Investigate security incidents, breaches, or policy violations promptly and thoroughly.
- Communicate and manage activities related to third party security agencies for the company.
- Document findings, recommend corrective actions, and implement preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to food safety and security.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as required, detailing security activities, incidents, and compliance status.
- Educate employees on security best practices and procedures to foster a culture of security awareness.
- Conduct training sessions on topics such as crisis management, threat recognition, and response protocols.
