Description:
Amentum is seeking a dynamic and innovative Security Manager to serve as the Program Security Manager in support of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Operations Directorate at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.

Under the direction of the Directorate Special Security Representative (SSR) and Directorate Security Manager (SM) you will provide guidance, direction, and oversight to designated Division Security Manager Assistants (SMAs), Top Secret Control Officers (TSCOs), Top Secret Control Assistants (TSCAs), and others in security management roles.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the risk to the organization’s information posed by a variety of threats, to include but not limited to, cyberattacks, insider threats, theft, and spillage is minimized.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and representative in matters pertaining to Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) security regulations and policies and maintain cognizance of all activity information, personnel, and information systems, physical and industrial security functions to ensure that the information security program is coordinated in its execution and inclusive of all requirements in SCI Program Regulations.
- Verify personnel clearances and grant access to J3 Directorate Special Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) spaces.
- Assist Action Officer(s) and/or Foreign Disclosure Officers (FDOs) with submission of Space Access Requests to the J2 Special Security Office (SSO) or applicable agency(ies) for the entry of Foreign Nationals into the J3 Directorate SCIF spaces in support of Operational activities, meetings, or conferences.
- Provide guidance, direction, and oversight to designated Division Security Manager Assistants (SMAs), Top Secret Control Officers (TSCOs), Top Secret Control Assistants (TSCAs), and others in security management roles.
- Assist with the management of the J3 Directorate’s Badge Access levels and assignments.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and representative in matters pertaining to security regulations and policies and maintain cognizance of all activity information, personnel, and information systems, physical and industrial security functions to ensure that the information security program is coordinated in its execution and inclusive of all requirements in Security Program Regulations.
- Ensure that threats to security and security incidents pertaining to classified information, including foreign government information (FGI), are reported, recorded, coordinated with the proper authorities, and, when necessary, investigated and that appropriate action is taken to mitigate damage and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure that incidents involving the loss or compromise of classified material are immediately referred to the cognizant investigative authority. In cases where compromise is determined or cannot be ruled out, ensure that security reviews and other required assessments are conducted as soon as possible. Coordinate with local information assurance officials but retains responsibility for inquiries into incidents involving possible or actual compromise of classified information resident in or on information technology (IT) systems.
- Manage all aspects of the Security Education and Awareness Program for personnel within the Division and all external personnel.
- Manage inventory of the safes and safe combinations assigned to the J3 Directorate to include items located at the FO/GO quarters, UNCLASSIFIED telephones that have the speaker phones enabled, and facilitate request for removal of UNCLASSIFIED laptop removal from J3 Directorate SCIF spaces.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years of combined experience in security management or SCIF program management.
- At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command, Service Component HQ, or Flag/General Officer staff in a security management role.
- Subject matter expert in matters pertaining to DOD and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) physical SCIF security regulations and policies
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills.
- Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years of experience with Special Access Programs security management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pertinent IT Security regulations and guidelines (i.e. classified document control, security, requesting office supplies/equipment, etc.).
- Knowledge of DOD regulations IT physical security and IT information security procedures and guidelines.
The salary range for this position is $130K to $160K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
