Description:
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
The Security Manager will be responsible for day-to-day oversight and direction of the Security Department operations. This leadership position assists with mentoring, motivating and performance management of all team members. Oversee and implement the Customer Service Model to ensure a superior level of customer service is provided during all guest interactions with Security Team Members. Security Manager is the key position to ensuring the department functions efficiently and effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in gaming/casino/hospitality industry or a related industry preferred.
- Security related background required.
- Experience operating in a high security and regulated work environment.
- Experience in managing all aspects of department operations with a diverse workforce including Payroll, Scheduling, Communication, Team Building and Associate Development.
- Post-Secondary Education in Law Enforcement, Policing, Social Sciences, or related field is an asset.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability for conflict resolution, effective decision making, and directing staff diplomatically.
- Demonstrated experience intervening deescalating conflict situations with non-verbal tactics.
- Ability to remain professional and perform duties under stressful conditions.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in report and incident writing.
- GSO course and valid first aid certification is required.
- A Background check is a BCLC mandatory requirement.
- Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration.
- Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings.
- Serving it Right Certification.
- Current OFA certification an asset.
- Voluntary Self Exclusion Enrolment.
- Gaming Security Officer Training Certificate required.
- Detail-orientated and organized nature.
- Sensitive in dealing with people and proactive in providing solutions.
- Good judgment and understanding of casino operations.
- Able to lift, handle and transport materials that are over 30 lbs.
- Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours.
Salary range is $65,000 - $70,000 per year plus benefits after 6 months of continuous employment. Relocation assistance available
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for security oversite of the facility including security and safety of all persons on property, protection of the assets of the company and regular and preventative maintenance of building and property.
- Communicate regularly with the officers and supervisors, ensuring key information packages from Marketing and Event Planners are rolled out, Department updates are distributed, follow up on accident and incident reports, facilitate a culture built on 2-way communication.
- Oversee and carry out the company first aid program.
- Maintains the highest level of discretion and confidentiality for the Security Department and broader management related issues.
- Conduct both on and off property reflects positively on and encourages others to maintain the same standard.
- Oversee and administer human resource components of the department including hiring, payroll, onboarding/offboarding, recognition, and progressive discipline to ensure compliance with operating procedures and standards are adhered to.
- Promote positive morale within the department, through interactive leadership, department specific recognition and reward program, increase department retention and growth. Liaise with other department leaders on inter-department functions and overall operations.
- As part of the RimRock Casino management team promote a positive work environment with all team leaders and staff alike.
- Develops and executes comprehensive and position-specific training programs for all levels of the department while following BCLC and GPEB guidelines.
- Security Regulatory Audits – Review and action items raised from regulatory audits – BCLC, GPEB, RG Check. Assist with required internal and external Security Compliance Audits, Reporting and Action Plan execution.
- Review and update Scheduling – Daily Schedule, Weekly, Vacation, Shift adjustments, Coordination of Security Team.
- Other duties as assigned by the GM/AGM.
