SECURITY OFFICER / UNARMED GUARD / SECURITY GUARD REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
• Five to seven years of relevant work experience in the United States may be required.
• Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Must be proficient in understanding, reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
• Must be physically capable of performing the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have customer service skills to greet and screen visitors, as well as handle point-to-point telephone calls with residents and visitors.

EDUCATION:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• (Required)
• Security: 2 years (Required)

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while on duty.
• Greet guests and check identification at the gated community entrance.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure the security of the premises and personnel.
• Report any irregularities or suspicious events to the appropriate authorities.
• Inform violators of community policies and procedures.
• Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Handle tasks assigned by supervisors or managers.
