Description:
The Security Officer II is the primary responders for all safety concerns, security incidents and service request at facilities owned or occupied by Seattle Children’s in the department’s efforts to deter, detect, prevent, respond, and document concerns or incidents that risk the safety and well-being of patients, families, visitors, workforce members, and property by utilizing appropriate protocols, emergency response procedures, and/or non-violent crisis intervention methods. Security Officers in this position respond to situations that include but are not limited to fire emergencies, hazardous spills, disaster response, medical emergencies, safety support, missing child, active shooter, bomb threats, individuals under distress or escalated, unauthorized persons on Seattle Children’s property or buildings occupied by Seattle Children’s workforce members with intentions to commit crimes such as vandalism, theft, and assault.”
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field or a combination of 3 years’ experience in Security Services or related field
