We are a renowned and prestigious shopping centre located in a busy city centre, hosting a range of luxury brands and providing a world-class shopping experience to millions of visitors annually. We are seeking dedicated and highly professional Security Officers to join our team and ensure the safety and security of our customers, staff, and premises.

Shift Pattern Start 07:00 Shift Pattern End: 22:00

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES MAY ALSO INCLUDE:

• Conduct regular patrols throughout the shopping centre to deter and detect criminal activity.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to security incidents, including theft, vandalism, anti-social behaviour, and public disturbances.
• Work closely with emergency services and law enforcement agencies when required.
• Assist in implementing the centre’s counter-terrorism strategy by maintaining awareness of potential threats and taking appropriate action when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service, assisting shoppers and visitors with directions and information.
• Enforce the centre’s policies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and daily logs, ensuring detailed records of any security issues.
• Act as a visible presence to deter criminal activity and offer reassurance to visitors.
• Participate in regular training and development sessions, including counterterrorism and emergency response training.

To succeed in this role you will need the following:

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence (essential).
• First Aid at Work certification.
• Previous experience in a security role, preferably in a large retail or shopping centre environment. Ex Police or military is advantageous.
• Strong awareness of counter-terrorism measures and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and the ability to respond swiftly and efficiently to security incidents.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• A strong sense of integrity and responsibility, with a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
