JOB DESCRIPTION
- Read and apply Screening SOP.
- Require data centre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or wand for entrance to and exit of
- Secure areas.
- Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoint(s).
- Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when
- Security breaches occur.
- Perform hand held wand searches.
- Perform walk through metal detection searches.
- Required to know and follow safe work practices, and to be aware of company policies and
- Procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations. Employees are required to
- Notify superiors upon becoming aware of unsafe working conditions.
- All functions, duties or tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and
- To be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of
- Uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to
- Request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorised company representatives.
MUST BE ABLE TO MEET AND CONTINUE TO MEET ANY APPLICABLE PSA LICENSING REQUIREMENTS FOR SECURITY OFFICERS.
- Knowledge of basic security and fire inspection procedures.
- Current SIA licence.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Have a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period.
- Skills in verbal and written communication.
- Skills in observing situations and decision making.
- Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorisations specified for the assigned accounts.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
