We are looking for a Security Officer to join us at our client site in East London.
Our site is a museum dedicated to applied arts and specializes in objects by and for children.
As a Security Officer you are an integral part of the team and you can make an impact with your skills to protect, deter and respond to any security matters, whilst providing an exceptional customer service experience.

A TYPICAL DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SECURITY OFFICER:

  • Carry out security beat patrols throughout the Museum’s 25 galleries and the Dana Centre as instructed by the Control Room Supervisor ensuring that all Museum collections and assets are secure.
  • To actively support Health and Safety objectives by responding to all emergencies in accordance with procedure and to play an integral part in the safe evacuation of visitors, staff and contractors minimising risk.
  • Investigate matters of concern reported by the Control Room.
  • Provide a visible preventative security presence by patrolling galleries and concourse areas.
  • To contribute toward the maintenance of a clean, welcoming environment for visitors – for example, by picking up litter, reporting or dealing with spillages, etc.

  • Demonstrate reliability including the ability to deliver high standards of both punctuality and attendance in order to ensure team effectiveness and availability
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team.
  • Able to deal calmly and confidently with all demands from the public.
