Responsibilities:
ROLE EXPECTATIONS: WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and resolution to protect our systems and data.
- Collaborate with IT, engineering, and business teams to implement security controls and best practices across the organization.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address potential risks.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with industry regulations and organizational needs.
- Analyze and manage compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring our operations meet standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001.
- Educate and train staff on security protocols, fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
YOUR PROFILE: WHAT WE ARE EXPECTING FROM YOU IN THIS ROLE
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable experience in security operations, compliance, or risk management roles, with a strong understanding of security principles and frameworks.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) and experience in conducting audits or assessments.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in a dynamic environment.
- A proactive approach to security, with a commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated on the latest security trends and threats.
