POSITION SUMMARY

Are you looking to lead talented teams in a dynamic industry? Sasco Contractors Ltd. is seeking a full-time Security Project Manager-Estimator for our Burnaby Office. As a key member of the Data team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are successfully delivered and executed.
Sasco Contractors Ltd, has been serving the Lower Mainland for over 39 years. serves the industrial, commercial, and institutional markets all over BC, specializing in distribution upgrades, commercial one-off new builds, tenant improvements, server rooms and data communication in “mission critical environments”, complicated fire alarm upgrades, EV car charges, and electrical service and maintenance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a ticketed security technician with a certification, degree or diploma in electrical construction, construction management, engineering, or quantity surveying
  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Expert knowledge or certifications in Avigilon, Keyscan, Kantech
  • Experience with Lenel, Software House, Genetec
  • Excellent knowledge on Canadian Electrical Code with updates
  • Knowledge of Office 365 Products

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in both job kick-off meetings and job post-mortem meetings.
  • Review and execute contract documents when applicable.
  • Job file set up in conjunction with estimating, accounting and project coordinators.
  • Project planning.
  • Manpower planning in conjunction with general foreman.
  • Mobilization of equipment/trailer/tools/job boxes in conjunction with Foreman.
  • Purchasing and releasing quoted materials in conjunction with senior management.
  • Overseeing preparation of approval drawings.
  • Expediting quoted material, coordinating deliveries with vendors.
  • Ensuring methods and manpower are being utilized efficiently.
  • Coordination with sub-contractors
  • Identifying and estimating change requests and contemplated changes to the contract
  • Manage relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure submissions are on time and as per tender documents including contractual terms and conditions.
  • Completing digital take-offs and Accubid data entry using Bluebeam and/or Live Count.
  • Use of MS Excel spreadsheets.
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers for pricing on bill of materials.
  • When necessary, working with management at job closing.
  • Organizing job closings.
  • Follow up with customers after closing of tender.
  • Participating in post tender addendums, value-engineering, and negotiations when required
