KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent understanding on security products ( Firewalls, IPS, DDOS, Threat Protection, EDR,XDR, SOAR, SIEM)
  • Knowledge on security firewall vendors’ products e.g Paloalto, Fortinet, Cisco, Zscaler, TrendMicro etc.
  • Familiarity with encryption protocols to secure data transmission over the network, such as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Transport Layer Security (TLS), and IPsec.
  • Knowledge of LAN Data Switching protocols (IP subnetting, VLANs, QoS)
  • Understanding of Telecommunication and IT service models and their practical application (e.g. ITIL, eTOM)
  • The requirements capture process and expected outputs
  • Track record of delivering successful solution designs
  • Previous experience of working in Telco, Infrastructure or Applications Development
  • Experience of working in a virtual team

Responsibilities:

ROLE PURPOSE:

  • As a Solutions Architect you will be a key member of Vodafone Business Unit (VBU) Irelands Solutions Sales team to determine the most appropriate Vodafone technology solution that meets the needs of our customer.
  • You will respond to requests for new technology or technology-derived solutions from the customer using standard Vodafone products and designs.
  • You will work closely with other members of the VBU team, including those in Solution Sales and the wider Business and Vodafone teams. This will cover a range of disciplines i.e. Sales Team, Commercial Operations, Product, Programmes & Projects, Field Engineering and Service to ensure that the technology solution designed is fit for purpose and can be readily deployed and operated in a profitable manner.
  • Your key deliverables will be high-quality, commercially viable technology solutions that have been approved by the customer and all internal stakeholders.
  • The Solutions Architect is responsible for creating the relevant documentation to established standards.
  • This will detail the proposed solution that will be contracted with the customer with full equipment and delivery costs included.
