Description:

SUMMARY:

The Security Team Leader (STL) is responsible for delivering effectively and efficiently physical security operations and programs that enhance the delivery of service and customer experience for the Client. The STL must be comfortable working in a highly complex, fast paced, and collaborative culture. Supervising the front of house security team. The STL verifies compliance with security procedures and policies, tracks audit readiness, and provides direction to ensure physical security requirements are met or exceeded. The STL works directly with colleagues, management, clients, and other vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

More than 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: security operations, service planning, service development or related operational field, or an equivalent.
Educational exceptions may be considered based on professional experience.
Professional certifications preferred (CPO, CPP, CSMP, PSP, etc.)
Experience with responding to Security-related audits is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all team members are fluent with policies and procedures and that these are followed.
  • Manage team member’s performance incl. absence monitoring, ensure team members are suitably attired for duties (i.e., uniform).
  • Ensure all team members have received appropriate and comprehensive training, address, and plan training needs.
  • Ensure all team members has necessary tools, equipment, and information to effectively perform their work.
  • Delegate tasks and ensure all team members comply with given instructions to fully and satisfactorily complete all of the tasks.
  • Ensure all incidents are responded to and reported.
  • Ensure that all equipment is managed, used, monitored and reported defective in line with policies / procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to all team members.
  • Actively encourages staff recognition and staff nominations for awards.
  • Responsibility for all roster requirements (incl. updating rosters on company’s system) ensuring that all positions are covered at all times and adequate backup resources are available / arranged when necessary.
  • Provide initial response and act upon incidents / complaints / concerns / matters / faults related to the security services provided and safety of assets and escalate any issues to management.
  • Assist in the production and implementation of plans related to the service delivery.
  • Provide a service level that as a minimum meets the contracted Key Performance Indicators.
  • Demonstrate the core brand values and culture of both Securitas and the Client, promoting a positive image of our Client and Securitas at all times.
  • Assist the management team with any ad-hoc requests (i.e. recruitment of new team members, performance appraisals etc.).
  • Ensure site documentation explaining site related duties and procedures are present on site, are available to and officially acknowledged (i.e. by a signature).
  • On a regular basis, develop, review, maintain and update security-related documents and files related to the site. These would include but are not limited to: procedures, manuals, instructions, checklists, registry, logs, records.
  • Provide administrative support to the management and all team members (i.e. compile reports, meeting minutes).
  • Ensure all information is recorded, filed accordingly and resolved (i.e. Daily activity reports, training records, incident reports, maintenance tickets, etc).
  • Participate in relevant meetings to ensure all communications and objectives are understood and met and appraising all team members of future developments in training and operations.
  • Takes responsibility for actions and can work under own direction if required.
  • Supports decision-making process with accurate information as and when required.
