We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Security Training and Operational Team Lead to be responsible for the effective management and training of security personnel, ensuring that all officers are well-prepared to maintain safety and security across various shifts and locations. This role will focus on ensuring that security operations run smoothly, in line with corporate policies and regulatory standards. The position also includes oversight of shift scheduling, incident response, and the development of training programs to equip security officers with the necessary skills and knowledge to manage different scenarios. The lead will collaborate closely with the Manager of Corporate Security Services to implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager Corporate Security, you will be empowered to:
Supervision:
- Oversee day-to-day security operations across multiple shifts and sites, ensuring the safety of employees, guests, property, and assets.
- Coordinate with the manager and other business units to ensure alignment of security measures with operations.
- Lead, mentor, motivate and evaluate security team, addressing performance, disciplinary, or operational concerns.
- Oversee shift schedules, coordinate coverage and requirements.
- Monitor, evaluate and approve incident reports, daily logs, and other officer activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact during incidents requiring security intervention, ensuring a timely and effective response.
- Manage and direct staff during emergencies and non-emergencies, providing leadership and support to mitigate risks and resolve situations.
- Ensure security protocols and procedures are consistently followed by all personnel.
Training & Development:
- Create and deliver training content and materials and regularly incorporate updates to ensure a full, up-to-date learning curriculum for emergency Procedures, medical response, and other Security related training.
- Conduct training needs analyses for learning initiatives to best monitor and update training activities for optimal program effectiveness, evaluate the performance and readiness of security officers, providing feedback and additional training as required.
- Facilitate the distribution of updated safety, security, and training standards and alerts to increase awareness/maintain adherence within OLG
- Promote Safety & Security awareness campaigns throughout the OLG organization to maintain awareness including updates to the Security web page.
- Maintain and update the Security in-service training platform and oversee the operational training records to ensure mandatory training is completed.
- Brief all key personnel on new legislation and changes that impact the security function (legal or medical) to ensure up-to-date practices are being followed
- Work with other business units and partners to develop security awareness and education programs ensuring training modules best address the group and organizational needs.
- Assist Management and Health and Safety in maintaining the Evacuation Program including training and education to enterprise evacuation teams on the program to ensure a successful outcomes.
