JOB DESCRIPTION
ECU Department of Political Science is currently seeking several Research Assistants.
Dr. Matthews of the Department of Political Science seeks an undergraduate assistant for the 2024-25 academic year. Candidates should have an interest in international politics, particularly in dictatorships. Duties performed would include assisting Dr. Matthews in historical research and data entry tasks. The candidate will be expected to have excellent written communication skills and an understanding of Excel-based data entry.
PREFERRED (MAJORS, EXPERIENCE, GPA, ETC.)
Political science students preferred, particularly those interested in comparative politics or international relations. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience working with large datasets. At least 20 hours of availability. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong capacity to perform well-sourced internet research. Ability to maintain electronic and in-person communication on project progress.
