Black Diamond Group’s Workforce Solutions Australia Division has a full-time position for Selling Branch Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of experience in sales within energy, construction, government and military, mining, or rental business sectors. Construction experiences is desirable but not required.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills in a sales and sales operation environment (5+ years).
  • Strong full cycle sales development skills, Market Development, top line sales and operational budgeting management and efficiency is required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills - written, verbal and listening, to maximize results external customers.
  • Demonstrable negotiation, organizational, prioritization, problem solving, business acumen and self-direction skills.
  • Technical competency and proficiency in Microsoft office and CRM software (SalesForce)
  • Valid vehicle operator’s license is a requirement. Must be willing to travel within assigned territory and to other Black Diamond locations as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Responsible for surpassing established sales goals and overall management, focusing on margin percentage maximization for all accounts within the assigned regions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Management and Strategic Sales Development:
  • Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the geographic Branch market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability. Where they exist, assign sales territories, set sales goals and establish training for individual Sales Representatives within the Branch territories.
  • Manage the operating expenses of the Branch to ensure budget control and maximize profitability potential.
  • Responsible to meet and where possible exceed the sales revenue and margin targets for the Branch including working with Regional Manager to set competitive market pricing for the Branch and in accordance with Black Diamond processes.
  • Track and communicate all sales and rentals relative to target to Management as required. This includes staff maintaining up-to-date profiles of key customers, sales and rental, service and contract documentation into CRM tools. Stay abreast of construction and other industry activity in the region. Use the intelligence from sales staff on competitive activities, market conditions and competitor activities to identify new markets and opportunities for sales growth.
  • Support and build relationships with key customers in industries such as construction, energy, education, mining, government, military, healthcare, etc. to position Black Diamond Group as a preferred vendor.
  • Rentals and Fleet Sales
  • Maintain positive relationships with all key accounts.
  • Assist in the development of sales quoting, cost analysis, bid development packages, and support contract negotiations as required in the Branch in accordance with Black Diamond pricing and performance standards. Identify and coordinate major project activity with Regional Manager.
  • As Sales Branch Manager, take a strong role in the credit approval process, timely billing, lease agreements and accounts payables process for customers and key accounts within the Branch.
  • Coordinate with Operations Staff and leadership for the safe execution of projects and maintenance of all fleet assets.
  • Leadership and Sales Team Support
  • Train all staff for superior product knowledge of Black Diamond Group’s products. Provide coaching, direction and insight to problem solving and resolve complex sales and service issues within the Branch.
  • Provide direction and leadership to all Branch sales staff, including recruitment and performance management activities. Set examples for Sales Representatives and Branch administrative personnel in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procedures and process controls including; transportation regulations, adherence to BDI’s Integrity policies and policies of employee health, safety and environmental standards.
  • Assist staff with RFP responses, customer presentations, pricing, leasing and major project requests to ensure successful sales contacts and professional customer supports.
  • Provides leadership direction to staff working in yard operations.
