Description:
We are small firm of Accountants based in the Perry Barr area of Birmingham. The firm has seen exceptional growth over the last year and we are now seeking to take on a Semi Senior Accountant to join us on our journey.
We are seeking a meticulous individual who has an eye for detail, good communication skills along with a strong background of working in a small/medium sized practice. We are particularly interested in individuals who are looking to grow with us and take on a senior role as the firm grows.
The firm is digitally focused and we actively encourage clients to use digital Accounting products therefore proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks, Sage Accounting/Payroll, Autoentry, IRIS Elements and Accountancy Manager would be advantageous.
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years of accounting experience in the UK Proven experience in leading and managing teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Strong organisational and leadership abilities for team management within the role.
Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines. Excellent Client Management skills
Previous accounting practice experience required Must be willing to travel to the office on a daily basis. Please note this is NOT a hybrid role and NO working from home requests will be entertained.

Salary: £25,000 to £28,000

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring that client concerns and queries are addressed promptly.
- Bookkeeping for a number of clients using Accounting Software.
- Prepare Payroll accurately and timely meeting client deadlines.
- Review and submission of VAT returns.
- Prepare Financial and Management Accounts for Sole traders and Limited Company’s.
- Personal and Corporation tax returns.
