Description:
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum: 3-5 years in actuarial roles, with experience in insurance.
- Preferred: 5+ years, with experience in life insurance.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science or a related field.
SKILLS:
- Valuation Expertise: Strong experience in financial and actuarial modeling, with knowledge of local and international regulations.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience in tools like SQL, Python, R, and experience with actuarial software such as Prophet MG or ALFA is highly valued. A solid understanding of both U.S. and International insurance regulations and standards is advantageous.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced data analysis capabilities, with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Leadership Abilities: Experience in mentoring or training others, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
Work Schedule: Flexible to work within U.S. time zones (EST to PST), with a focus on maintaining a balanced work-life dynamic given Argentina’s proximity to these time zones.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead Valuation Tasks: Take responsibility for key actuarial valuation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both local and international standards.
- Enhance Reporting Functions: Deliver the production of financial statements, reserve calculations, and regulatory filings, implementing improvements where needed.
- Advance Actuarial Modeling: Develop and refine actuarial models, contributing innovative solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- Drive Business Analysis: Collaborate with the business analysis team to integrate actuarial insights into broader business strategies, providing critical input for decision-making.
- Mentor Junior Actuaries: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping them develop their skills and grow in their roles.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, product, risk management, and other departments to align actuarial outputs with strategic business goals.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Manage risks and ensure that all actuarial practices adhere to relevant regulations (e.g., U.S. Local Stat, SST, IFRS), applying your knowledge of both the U.S. and International markets.
