PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE:

To assist and support the Welding team with the fabrication, repairs, and projects at Belgotex.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist with fabrication and repairs of bobbin crates/ barriers/structures/handrails and platforms.
Decommission of the plant using cutting torches, dismantling of machinery, and rigging
Operate various basic tools (i.e., hammers, chisels, G-clamps)
Be able to use oxyacetylene to cut steel.

Be able to do stick welding (mild steel and stainless steel) CO2 welding, TIG welding

• 3-5 years working experience in a similar role.
• Be able to use oxyacetylene to cut steel.

• Must be physically fit to work with weight of an average of +/-60 kgs.
• Forklift Licence essential Ability to work on heights.
• Ability to work in confined spaces due to operational requirements.
• Ability to work in standing position for extended hours.
• Must be comfortable working on elevated surfaces.
• Must be flexible to working extended hours
