Salary Package: RM4000 – RM8800 commensurate according to experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision machining or a similar role, with a strong background in CNC machining, EDM, or related technologies.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in machining processes, tool selection, and setup.
- Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and programming.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities (Capable of effective communication in English and Chinese)
- Certifications: Professional certifications related to machining or process engineering (e.g., Six Sigma, PMP) are advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Process Development:
- Develop and implement machining processes and procedures for high-precision components.
- Analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and 3D models to understand machining requirements.
- Select appropriate machining tools, materials, and techniques to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize machining processes to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve overall performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot process issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Utilize advanced machining technologies, such as CNC (Computer Numerical Control), EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining), and multi-axis machining.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that machining processes adhere to quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to develop and execute inspection and testing protocols.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformance issues.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, tool setups, and process changes.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and training materials for team members.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and process improvements to management and stakeholders
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with design engineers and customer to ensure manufacturability of designs and optimize machining processes.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth implementation of new processes and technologies.
- Provide technical support and training to machinists and operators.
- Project Management:
- Lead or participate in projects aimed at improving machining processes, implementing new technologies, or developing new products.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
