SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Agronomy, Crop Sciences, or related field.
- Proven experience in seed sales or horticulture agronomy trials.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and results-oriented.
- Willingness to travel across NZ and hold a current NZ driver’s licence.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE ON OFFER:
The Bayer Seminis team is seeking a new Business Development Manager to join the team in New Zealand. Ideally you will be based in Auckland or Pukekohe.
Leverage your agronomic expertise to drive the trialling, launch, stewardship, and sales of Bayer vegetable seed products in New Zealand. Deliver sustainable growth and achieve revenue targets by working between market development and sales”

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demand Creation: Design and execute on-farm vegetable seed trials, promote Bayer products, and drive new product launches.
- Territory Planning: Implement a detailed business plan, understand market potential, and maintain accurate forecasting.
- Maximize Bayer’s Brands: Ensure clear product positioning, collaborate with customers, and resolve issues proactively.
- Channel Management: Build knowledge of distribution, monitor orders and inventory, and implement marketing programs.
- Market Intelligence: Provide ongoing market information and engage with grower organizations.
- Stewardship: Maintain high product knowledge and ensure customers understand Bayer’s standards.
- Product Development: Execute promotional trials and support local management of breeder trials.
