Description:

Ergo are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Account Director to join our team, focusing on the Public Sector in Ireland. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key public sector clients, driving business growth, and delivering tailored IT solutions that align with their objectives. Your expertise in public sector procurement, account management, and IT solutions will ensure your success in this high-impact role.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proven track record in strategic account management and business development in the public sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement and tendering processes in Ireland.
  • Strong understanding of IT solutions, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, managed services, and digital transformation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and influence decision-making.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex client requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT sales or account management, with at least 3 years focused on the public sector.
  • Familiarity with public procurement frameworks (e.g., OGP, eTenders).
  • Professional certifications in IT or sales (e.g., ITIL, PRINCE2, CRM) are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Account Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the public sector, including C-suite, Directors, senior decision-makers and procurement teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and Loyalty.
  • Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities within the public sector, leveraging your knowledge of the market and client needs
  • Drive sales growth by offering innovative IT solutions, products, and services tailored to the public sector.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall business objectives.
  • Procurement and Tendering:
  • Demonstrate expertise in public sector procurement frameworks and tendering processes to secure new contracts and opportunities.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, presentations, and bids, ensuring alignment with client requirements and compliance with public sector standards.
  • Collaboration and Leadership:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including technical, pre-sales, practices across Professional Services and delivery teams, to ensure the seamless execution of client projects.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in delivering solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Stay informed about public sector trends, challenges, and opportunities to position the company as a trusted partner.
  • Provide insights and feedback to influence the development of new IT offerings and strategies.
