THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an amazing Senior Account Executive to join our Public Affairs team.
If you’ve gained experience in agency, in-house, government, or parliament and are looking to join an organisation that delivers high-impact campaigns and works across exciting policy issues, then we want to hear from you.
The role would suit a proactive, enthusiastic and politically-savvy individual who thrives on autonomy, has strong research and communications skills and is not afraid to get stuck in. You will be an integral part of the team keeping an eye on policy shifts, ensuring clients and the team are spotting opportunities, drafting high quality and persuasive briefings and building connections with key decision-makers. And yes, being politically active and tapping into your network would be a real help.
We pride ourselves on giving team members the opportunity to get heavily involved in all aspects of an account. The role offers the opportunity to work in an engagement and policy focused role, working proactively with some of really exciting companies in the UK across policies that are high up on the political agenda of the new Government.
Day-to-day, this role will require you to build trust with your clients, know what’s happening in Westminster and Whitehall, work towards becoming a subject matter expert, deliver client campaigns, develop relationships with clients, policy makers and stakeholders, support marketing and content, and more besides.
Our big focus areas are tech, sustainability and health and experience and/or a passion in these areas will give you a head start in this role and an opportunity to build your public profile. While your focus will be public affairs, you’ll have the opportunity to broaden your horizons across PR, crisis communications, and corporate comms.
Experience and Skills
You will ideally have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a relevant political environment, such as consultancy, in-house, thinktank or Parliament
- Active participation/interest in party politics
- Knowledge of UK Parliament & devolved administrations, politics, procedure and policy
- An interest in the policy landscape surrounding tech, health and/or sustainability
- A track-record of producing high-quality research and briefings
- Strong communications skills, both written and oral
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent work ethic with a proactive can-do attitude
- An entrepreneurial spirit
