The Senior Account Executive (AE) is responsible for growing Cloudera revenues from strategic high growth customers and prospects. The AE will identify marketplace opportunities, prospect and engage new clients, develop proposals and manage the contract process. The Senior AE is also required to support the Cloudera channel community by engaging in co-selling activity as required to drive client success.
As an Senior Account Executive you will:
- Grow revenue in designated accounts to achieve both our customers and Cloudera’s strategic business objectives.
- Establish and maintain influential client relationships to ultimately drive revenue growth.
- Develop and executes account strategies by collaborating with peers and leadership to deliver stronger, more relevant value propositions to customers.
- Own the overall account relationship driving customer satisfaction for assigned territory accounts.
- Cultivate senior customer relationships and ensures effective service delivery to accounts.
- Negotiate on the prices of contracts that are related to the sales activities.
- Engage Cloudera technical experts and specialists where required, maintaining oversight of all account activities.
- Be responsible for forecasting, keeps management updated with accounts in a timely fashion, gathers intelligence on competitor activity and gives feedback to marketing.
- Understand the needs of the company, actively participates in sales meetings and quarterly business reviews.
- Stay across the latest domain trends and competitive intel by undertaking regular training and enablement.
- Track customer activity in internal systems in order to execute on account strategy and identify additional opportunities.
We’re excited about you if you have:
- 7+ years of demonstrated successful Enterprise Software sales or Cloud based solutions.
- Data management experience highly preferred (i.e. analytics, data warehousing, machine learning).
- Superior business and negotiation skills.
- An established network of senior customer relationships within the Sydney market.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- High levels of energy, a team player and accountable by nature.
- Self-motivated, quick thinker and ability to perform in high pressure situations.
- BA/BS or equivalent educational background
