This is more than just a job, it’s your opportunity to be at the forefront of the dynamic investment management industry. Specialising in Alternative Investments, with a focus on the exciting and growing Private Debt asset class, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our investment strategies forward.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Overseeing the outsourced fund accounting function for the Private Debt asset class, including net asset valuations, financial statements, audits, and operational functions like investor distributions and VAT submissions.
- Managing shadow accounting via the inhouse eFront Invest system and developing processes for new fund structures and finance operations.
- Providing expert guidance on accounting and valuations for investment loans and debt instruments to internal and external stakeholders.
- Delivering stakeholder reporting, including investor statements, performance reports, and expense disclosures, alongside ad-hoc analysis and advice.
- Managing data flows between internal/external accounting systems and performance reporting databases.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements, developing financial models, and providing actionable insights using data analytics.
The role requires a high performing individual, with strong attention to detail, initiative, and flexibility, with a genuine interest in the funds/investment management industry and a solid foundation of technical accounting. You will ideally have:
- Experience in funds management and/or private debt investments and a CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles relating to financial instruments, such as consolidation accounting, fair value and amortised cost valuation methodologies.
- Proven ability to prepare financial statements and coordinate audits across multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with a knack for solving complex problems and managing multiple priorities seamlessly.
- Proficiency in Excel, financial modelling, and a willingness to master new systems.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to build relationships across teams
