The Property Management Revenue Senior Accountant is responsible for appropriately and timely billing Property Management revenue fees to the Property Owner. Revenue fee billing includes, but is not limited to, Brokerage Commissions, Trip Charges, Mark-Up, Lease Fees, Securing Fees, Onboarding Fees, Resident-Related Property Management Fees, Property Disposal Fees, Developer Fees, and Inspections. In addition to daily tasks, the Senior Accountant will also be responsible for reconciliations, month-end billings, month-end accruals, and ad hoc projects.

This is a full-time position. Days and typical hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position will report directly to the Costa Rica Property Management Revenue Accounting Supervisor and indirectly to the US Accounting Supervisor.

  • 50% of time creating and processing daily/weekly revenue billing
  • 30% of time on month-end related duties
  • 10% of time reconciling revenue and accounts receivable
  • 10% of time on miscellaneous inquiries

Responsibilities include:

  • Daily creation of revenue billings
  • Creation of Month-end Charges, Payables, and Journal Entries
  • Reconciling revenue transactions
  • Execution of miscellaneous tasks as needed
  • Timely communication with the US Accounting Team as issues or concerns arise

Experience Requested:

  • Graduate with an Accounting major
  • Revenue and Accounts Receivable experience preferred
  • Experience with Yardi preferred
  • At least 3-5 years of Accounting experience
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work in a diligent manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, experience utilizing Microsoft Planner a plus
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
