SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE

4+ years of public accounting experience

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possessing leadership qualities and ability to support team members and goals.
  • Strong commitment to quality
  • CPA designation or at least substantial progress thereto
  • Thorough knowledge and experience working with IFRS, ASPE and CAS to be able to complete complex areas of an engagement
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate well with clients, managers and partners
  • Strong file management skills and organization
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience with Caseware

Responsibilities:

  • Particpates in the planning, execution and completion of audit and assurance files.
  • Completes and oversees others’ work on audit files
  • Manages allocated projects or assignments, including time management
  • Coordinates group audits with component auditors in other cities and countries
  • Understands technical standards with the expected level of assistance and supervision
  • Prepares complex areas of the file and recognize relevant accounting and audit issues from basic analysis
  • Builds effective working client relationships on assignments with operational client contacts and are beginning to build their credibility
  • Responds effectively and efficiently to client, manager and partner requests and provide suggestions/ guidance related to the engagment.
  • Supervises Junior and Intermediate Accountants by providing input and expertise where necessary
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge – IFRS, ASPE, CAS - by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team efforts by performing other duties as required.
