SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE
4+ years of public accounting experience
REQUIREMENTS:
- Possessing leadership qualities and ability to support team members and goals.
- Strong commitment to quality
- CPA designation or at least substantial progress thereto
- Thorough knowledge and experience working with IFRS, ASPE and CAS to be able to complete complex areas of an engagement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate well with clients, managers and partners
- Strong file management skills and organization
- Ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with Caseware
Responsibilities:
- Particpates in the planning, execution and completion of audit and assurance files.
- Completes and oversees others’ work on audit files
- Manages allocated projects or assignments, including time management
- Coordinates group audits with component auditors in other cities and countries
- Understands technical standards with the expected level of assistance and supervision
- Prepares complex areas of the file and recognize relevant accounting and audit issues from basic analysis
- Builds effective working client relationships on assignments with operational client contacts and are beginning to build their credibility
- Responds effectively and efficiently to client, manager and partner requests and provide suggestions/ guidance related to the engagment.
- Supervises Junior and Intermediate Accountants by providing input and expertise where necessary
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge – IFRS, ASPE, CAS - by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team efforts by performing other duties as required.
