Description:

Are you an experienced accountant? If you’re analytical, detail-oriented and take a holistic approach, this could be an excellent opportunity for you. We’re seeking a highly organised individual to join our Finance team. You’ll provide a seamless service to internal and external customers.
You’ll have an in-depth of knowledge and understanding of insured and non-insured businesses. You’ll lead, support and perform accounting processes within the Record to Report team, ensuring complete and accurate accounting records are maintained.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You’ll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at our Ipswich office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead processes to control, update and maintain the General Ledger accounting records for several AXA UK companies.
  • Maintain a robust framework of internal controls to ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and reliable.
  • Process lead 3 FTE’s.
  • Identify, design, and implement production processes improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Define and provide financial information, interpretation, analysis, and support to customers.
  • Liaise with Group Tax for preparation of taxation charges for actual results under IFRS and Solvency reporting.
