Job Description: The position of Senior accountant will be the lead across core aspects of financial activity for the business such as managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. As a CPA-qualified accountant and seasoned Financial Professional, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The role of Senior Accountant requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong grasp of financial principles and the ability to ensure accuracy across all financial documentation and regulatory and financial compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead the monthly accounting close process & prepare financial statements, including analytical review of monthly operating results, to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies including U.S. corporate tax returns
  • Conduct non-statutory financial audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide financial advice and support to management and other departments.
  • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
