WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE REQUIRED?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- CA qualification or close to completing CA studies (or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an Accountant in a reporting role, preferably in a technology or professional services company with global operations
- Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Team player
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail, proactive and responsibleOutstanding communication and strong interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
WHAT THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Crimson Education is a leading EdTech group with a diverse portfolio of services across 30+ markets. We are seeking a financial accountant to join the team in Auckland and to assist in managing both day-to-day and monthly financial operations.
This is a full-time position, that can be worked remotely or in one of our many offices around the globe.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS ROLE?
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Complete month end financial close including reconciling balance sheet and intercompany accounts
- Ensuring timely and accurate preparation of monthly departmental reporting
- Assisting with the preparation of the year end group financial statements and audit
- Leading the preparation of subsidiary year end financial statements, audit and tax compliance in conjunction with external accounting firms
- Preparing and reviewing GST/VAT returns
- Work closely with stakeholders and provide financial insights to support decision-making
- Contribute to financial risk management, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard Crimson assets
- Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
- Supporting finance projects and driving continuous improvementSupporting the SVP Finance and Senior Group Accountant
