Brief Summary :
At Edmund Optics Singapore (EOSG), the Senior Accountant holds a pivotal role in driving the smooth functioning of our Finance Department. Taking charge of critical responsibilities like vendor record management, bank reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting, this role demands a keen eye for detail.
The Senior Accountant provides leadership, guiding the team through monthly financial schedules and audits. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Supervise and support the Accounts Payable (AP) section.
- Maintain vendor records in SAP.
- Conduct monthly reviews of bank reconciliations and prepare monthly cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare monthly management and financial schedules, handling inquiries from the EOB (HQ) finance team.
- Prepare monthly accrual schedules and reconciliations for various expenses.
- Prepare and review GST submissions.
- Reconcile 3rd party Goods-In-Transit (GIT).
- Maintain the fixed asset register and handle capital expenditure (capex) filing and documentation.
- Handle tax queries from the accounting firm and liaise with external auditors and the company secretary for audit and legal matters.
- Manage general insurance matters (excluding employee insurance).
- Prepare XBRL Financial Statement filings.
- Compile quarterly or yearly data for submissions to the Department of Statistics and Economic Development Board (EDB).
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum degree in Accountancy or equivalent
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Possess initiative and able to work independently.
- Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to lead and guide a team effectively.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
- Audit experience is an added advantage.
