Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in UAE excise tax regulations to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of excise tax compliance, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing expert advice on excise tax matters. This role requires a deep understanding of UAE excise tax laws, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on UAE excise tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE excise tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
  • Fluency in English (Arabic is a plus).

    Pay: From AED2,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Excise tax: 2 years (Required)

Willingness to travel:

  • 50% (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of excise tax compliance, including registration, return filing, and payment processing.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of excise tax information to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in UAE excise tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on excise tax matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular reviews of excise tax processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of excise tax transactions and documentation.
  • Assist with excise tax audits and inquiries from the FTA.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with excise tax requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze excise tax reports and reconciliations.
  • Develop and implement excise tax policies and procedures.
  • Provide training to staff on excise tax regulations and compliance requirements.
