Description:
Position Summary
Exro, a leading clean technology company providing proprietary motor control and complete electronic propulsion systems for e-mobility is seeking a Senior Accountant. As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the Assistant Controller delivering on month-end close, and daily GL activities. Additionally, you will prepare and maintain financial records according to GAAP ensuring accuracy and completeness of the general ledger. Responsibilities
- Working closely with Exro’s Assistant Controller, responsible for the daily routine journals, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close, including assistance with preparing the monthly reporting package.
- Responsible for ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger, including account balances and transactions review.
- Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies within balance sheet and income statement accounts before month-end reporting and guide process improvements.
- Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
- Supervise the accurate processing of accounts payable and receivables on schedule.
- Organize payments to vendors and collections from customers.
- Comply with regulations, including tax filings and annual census.
- Assist with internal and external audits/reviews, providing necessary items.
- Ensure compliance with financing arrangements.
- Assist with preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
- Analyze financial performance against the budget and provide variance reports to management.
- Lead process improvement to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
- Mentor Exro employees on improving reporting and accounting procedures.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- CPA Required.
- 3+ years of accounting and reporting is required.
- Public Company audit experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and experience in financial reporting and general ledger.
- Expert in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Strong understanding of general ledger functions.
- Experience in ERP systems through audit or industry experience, such as MS D365 or SAP B1, is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data succinctly.
- Flexible to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong organizational skills focused on accuracy, exceeding deadlines, and balancing multiple priorities.
