THE OPPORTUNITY

Key Responsibilities
Full cycle accounting duties for the Mosaic Group of companies including:
Lead month end bookings for 14 corporations within the Mosaic portfolio:
o Transpose sales from Veterinary ERP systems to QBO
o Import pharmaceutical purchases to QBO
o Book monthly inventory adjustments
o Book rebates to clinic corporations
o Bank reconciliation
o Review AR, AP, and credits on accounts
o Liaise with internal teams on outstanding items required for month end
o Send QBO financial reports to clinic managers monthly.
Lead weekly cash management meeting:
o Setup upcoming payments in bank for approval by CEO/CFO at meeting
o Maintain the supporting cash flow spreadsheet
o Setup ad hoc payments throughout the week in the bank for approvals.
Act as a key point of contact for those seeking financial information in the organization:
o Collaboration with teams to maintain efficiency of workflow, and improve upon established processes
o Check and respond to internal accounting emails
o Interact with internal teams to understand requirements.
o Support Payroll processing. Assist with determining intercompany payroll splits where an employee worked at multiple clinics.
o Support filing of PST and GST returns.
o Assist with information gathering for annual audit.
o Assist and mentor the Accounting Assistant who supports this role with some of the QBO bookings.
o Monitor Insurances and payroll processing providers to ensure best costs are obtained.
o Assist with filing WCB Annual Returns for Alberta and Saskatchewan provinces.
