My client is the investment management arm of a global real estate conglomerate. They are hiring a corporate accountant to handle full set accounts and MAS returns. This is an expansionary headcount. Most notably, their pan-Asian funds provide institutional investors access to a portfolio of commercial & residential real estate investments in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. My client is the investment management arm of a global real estate conglomerate. They specialize in PE real estate investments across APAC and are headquartered in Singapore.
They are looking for a Corporate Accountant to handle full set of accounts and MAS returns. Preferably someone who displays a positive attitude and will embrace a collaborative culture.
This role is involved in preparation work (it is not a manager/ reviewer role). S/he will be handling month end accounts, preparation of reporting deliverables, including consolidation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess Degree in Accountancy or diploma or equivalent with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Able to handle full set of accounts
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
  • Detailed-oriented and highly motivated individual with good problem-solving skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software preferably Netsuite
  • Applicants with audit and commercial experience will be highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare/review monthly accounts, journal entries and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and submit quarterly reporting packs/presentations with variance analysis
  • Prepare/review payments and billings including inter-company activities and staff claims
  • Handle cashflow projections, fixed deposit and bank account admin matters
  • Prepare and submit government financial statistical surveys/data and MAS regulatory returns/surveys
  • Coordinate and liaise with external parties eg internal and external auditors, corporate and GST tax agents, corporate secretarial agents. This includes managing the annual audit process including preparation of the audited financial statements and schedules required by the auditors and agents
  • Provide support to Finance Managers by ensuring timely and accurate financial information
  • Assist with ad hoc projects including UAT and implementation of new system initiatives
