JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the financial operations of our elevator company. This position will be responsible for overseeing all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies, and providing financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, and provide regular financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
3. General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial close processes.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
5. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and control, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and equipment.
6. Audit and Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Manage internal and external audits.
7. Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, including cost analysis, profitability analysis, and ROI analysis.
8. Tax Compliance: Ensure tax compliance, including preparation of tax returns, tax planning, and management of tax audits.
9. Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation and benefits.
10. Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, ensuring their professional development and high-performance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  3. 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or managerial role.
  4. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  6. Proficiency in accounting software and systems, such as Odoo
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
