Valmet’s Global Financial Operations is looking for financial professional who enjoys collaborating with business stakeholders and brings insights into business requirements. You really feel the pulse of the business, possibly after gaining experience as a Controller. We appreciate your capability in identifying process flaws and taking strong advisory role in E2E process from sales to revenue recognition whilst ensuring accurate accounting results with relevant control points. In this role, you will be supported by professionals sharing similar responsibilities and to get the most out of the team and other stakeholders, it’s important to know how to network and communicate effectively. IN THIS POSITION ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

• Revenue Recognition and project accounting in Valmet Profit-tool globally: coordinating and managing related subledgers, reconciliations, interfaces, balance sheet specifications and accuracy of revenue related accounts.
• Working closely with Business Finance and providing expertise and coaching in accounting principles and practices both from accounting and system viewpoint to accountants, controllers and other stakeholders.
• Identifying and understanding the requirements and gaps in solutions and effectively conducting change management.

WHAT CHARACTERISTICS WOULD HELP YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

• You are an in-depth expert in revenue recognition, project accounting and internal trade covering the full audit trail from master data and logistics to the general ledger and reporting
• You have minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a recognized accounting qualification and previous working experience (4+) in relevant finance position.
• You are proficient in using integrated ERP and modern reporting tools
• As finance professional you can identify critical topics and act accordingly to meet timelines. You are also ready to roll up sleeves to collaborate with other teams and functions to drive end to end process efficiency.
• You are positive, persistent and have analytical and problem-solving skills. You are eager to drive change and identify development need.
• Understanding of Valmet business model and way of working is an advantage.
