JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

At Greystar, our financial success is driven by the accuracy of our facts and figures while providing a high degree of support on all financial aspects to local business teams.

Under the direction of the Australian Finance Director, this role will:

  • work with local team members and outsource providers to update and maintain financial records in accordance with the region’s accounting procedures, local generally accepted accounting principles (AASB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);

work with local and offshore team members to prepare corporate budgets and forecasts;

  • work with local development team members to maintain and report on development project budgets and actuals;
  • ensure the timely delivery of accurate reports to stakeholders; and
  • drive vendor payment processes.

The senior accountant will continually sharpen their skills and broaden their commercial experience, with a dedication to grow into a financial manager.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Month End:
  • work with external service providers to review and complete month-end for Greystar Australia’s corporate platform and its multifamily funds under management
  • Tax Compliance:
  • work with external service providers to produce and submit quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and annual tax returns for Greystar Australia’s corporate platform and its multifamily funds under management
  • Financial Reporting:
  • work with external service providers and local Investment and Development Teams to produce monthly, quarterly and annual investor reporting
  • work with external service providers and offshore Finance Teams to produce monthly, quarterly and annual corporate reporting
  • work with external service providers to produce audited annual financial reports
  • prepare annual corporate budgets and reforecasts
  • Accounts Payable:
  • work with external service providers to match, batch and code vendor invoices
  • process vendor payments
  • work with the Australian Development Team to reconcile vendor payments
  • Cash Management:
  • produce capital call notices and distribution statements for Greystar Australia’s multifamily funds under management
  • Manage and co-ordinate corporate recharge arrangements with Greystar Australia’s multifamily funds under management
  • prepare corporate cashflow forecasts
  • Debt Management (Multifamily):
  • manage and co-ordinate debt drawdowns and repayments with external lenders
  • manage and co-ordinate interest payments with external lenders
  • work with external service providers to compute and report debt covenants to external lenders
  • Complete other reasonable duties as assigned or as necessary
