Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a CPA designation and a minimum of 2 years in public practice . This position will provide file preparation, staff supervision and client advisory services including:

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role within public practice.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of CaseWare, CaseView, Profile and Microsoft Office considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with firm standards (NTRs and Reviews).
  • Preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.
  • Tax planning and general client advisory and assistance. Recommendations and consultation with clients on internal systems and procedures.
  • Maintain communication between partners and other team members on an ongoing basis of progress and significant issues
